How to place an order...

48 Special Models is a producer and mail-order company specialised in limited edition resin 48 scale modelkits.

We don't have a physical shop!

To order items please follow the steps in the E-shop instruction

or send an e-mail!

And please add an expressive reference line to the reference field of your e-mail. We will eliminate all e-mails without an expressive reference line in the reference field, due to the hugh amount of spam mails we get every day! Thank you.

To forward your order most efficant we need:

your complete name and surename

your address

your zip code and city

your state and / or country

your e-mail and /or fax-no.

the way you want us to ship the order (land /sea or airmail)

If the shipping address is different from the mailing address, please indicate.

To identify the Items you like to order we need the following informations:

manufacturer

item No.

quantity

price of the Item

the way of payment

date of order (very improtant in case of price changes or running out items!)

Ways of payment for foreign country orders are:

cash

international money order

PayPal (We accept creditcards by PayPal only!)

You should always sign the order-fax or -letter.

Orders will be send after payment is received. State the way of payment you prefer with your order and confirm your order after we have sent you the invoice.

Important Notice:

Orders which are not payed four weeks after recieving the invoice, will be treated as "not wanted anymore" and be deleted without further notice.
There is only a "guarantee of delivery" for orders after complete payment, within four weeks after recieving the invoice. Delivery occures immediatly on availability.

PAYMENT:

By now the EU offers an EU bank transfer that works like transfering money inside your home country. By use of two code numbers called Bank Identifier Code(BIC) and inter. Bank AccNo.(IBAN) you may transfer money form one account to another, within the EU, for the same fees like within your country (only when using the codes). Ask you bank for more information.

We will forward you these codes with the invoice we usualy send when you order and ask you to use this method for paying, because it is as easy as paying in your home country.
On EU-payments by PayPal we will charge a 4% fee on the total amount!

If you want to pay by PayPal please add a 4% fee on the total of the invoice.

This arrangement is valid only for our EU customers!

We do accept US$ and EURO. US$ will be converted at the actual todays exchange rate! Be advised that PayPal takes an exchange fee on US$! To prevent this fee you may pay in Euros directly please. If we recieve payments in US$ which have an exchange fee deducted, we will eather request you to pay this fee afterwards or reduce your order volume!
You are also welcome to pay in EURO !

International Customers

Our regulary procedure is to send a notification (copy of the invoice) on the total cost when your order is placed.

After you recieved the invoice including the shipping costs, please confirm it by paying the amount!

As soon as the payment is confirmed by our bank we send out the items on the requested way.

Any order has to be prepaid !

Paying by international money order in €(Euro) (currency) is without any charge for us, held in US$ please add 10.00$ to the invoice-total, because our bank will charge us this amount!

We are a member of PayPal. This is the safest and easiest way of paying!

You need to check first the branch or bank if it correspondes with our bank. In some cases American banks are not able to make this international money order transactions. Ask your bank for an institute involved in foreign country business with German banks!

You may as well send your payment cash, in US$ or € by mail, but make sure to recieve an invoice first! On overseas transactions we usualy e-mail or fax the invoice!

If you like to send your payment by mail make sure to send it by registered mail. We don't cover loss or theft of money send to us! It is also a good idea to let us know by e-mail.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING RATES :

EXACT FOREIGN MAIL PROCEDURES:
USA/CANADA/AUSTRALIA

Shipping international will be € 13.50 for a parcel up to 2kg. This amount is for "economy" shipping, which means to be a surface/air combination. This kind of shipment takes longer than the supposed 10 working days sometimes, due to the fact that the package won't be delivered with any priority when it is in your country! So this needs a little patience!
Airmail will be €27.00 and takes 3 to 10 working days and is limited to 2kg.

Up to 5 kg will be a package and costs € 32.00 by economy.
Larger packages are shipped on individual shipping rates.

On any orders we will notify you on the costs by sending an invoice first!

By air there are € 16.00 extra to be added !!

The shipping costs for all other countries will be stated with the invoice.

All postage fees depend on the actual prices of the German Post AG and may be changed without further notice!

Depending on the quantity of kits you are ordering, we will pack the kits compressed to fit the small package size and not to weigh more than 2 kg.
This means, the kits will be packed 2 or more in one box. In most cases the empty boxes are delivered with the package and can be refolded again. If you don't want this way of shipment notify on the order!

EUROPE:

Shipping in Europe is € 10,00 for parcels up to 2kg !
Shipped by air/surface mail combination.

On large orders which have more than 2kg of weight we will notify you on the costs first!
For orders within the EU and more than 4kg weight postage fees and a packing charge of € 2,50 are valid.

Widerrufsbelehrung

Der Besteller kann den Vertrag innerhalb von zwei Wochen nach Erhalt der Ware widerrufen. Der Widerruf ist schriftlich, auf einem anderen dauerhaften Datenträger oder durch Rücksendung der Ware zu erklären. Er muß keine Begründung enthalten, aber den Vertrag so bezeichnen, dass er identifieziert werden kann und die Person, die den Widerruf erklärt, erkennen lassen.

Die rechtzeitige Absendung des Widerrufs bzw. die rechtzeitige Rücksendung der Ware genügt zur Fristwahrung. Bei einer fristgerechten Widerrufserklärung wird der Vertrag hinfällig und ist rückabzuwickeln, d.h. 48 Special Models ist dann zur Rückzahlung des Kaufpreises, der Besteller zur Rückgewähr der empfangenen Ware verpflichtet. Wenn die gelieferte Ware der betellten entspricht und der Bestellwert 40 Euro nicht übersteigt, so gehen die Kosten der Rücksendung zu lasten des Bestellers. In allen anderen Fällen übernimmt 48 Special Models die Kosten der Rücksendung.
