The UH-1C was one oft the commonly used US Army Helicopters in Vietnam. It came in service 1955 and is still flying in some places today. The helicopter was especially used by the Air Cavalery, known also from the Movie "Apocalypse Now". It was used by this special force for delivering personnel and equipment to remote destinations in the jungle. The Huey also saw various armement for self defense or against ground targets and made ground for development of modern fighter helicopters.

Its nickname is derived from the original designation HU-1, which sounds like "Huey". The name stuck even when the designation was changed later to UH-1 and it still does to the following designs.

The 21st Century model ist a UH-1C with special markings of the US Army. Called "Easy Rider" (from the movie) the helicopter has shark jaws painted on the front, more or less to motivate the crew than frightening the enemy.  These helicopters have been a easy prey for snipers, due to less armor and speed.  This is why they became more and more armed with MGs and rocket launchers later on.

The model has a rotating main rotor and tail rotor. The cockpit doors and sidedoors can be opened. The interior is detailed true to the original. The rocket launchers can be mounted or not. Also included is a multi-pose pilot figure with removable helmet

Modellers who miss something on this highly detailed model are free to add more detail on there own. What is great on these models is they are not avaliable as kits in this scale at all and would be as expensive whitout beeing built too.

So all models are made from plastic and be fixed with screws or superglue, they can be easiely disassambled and converted or detailed even more!
A profi modeler will convert this model to a superior masterpiece easiely.

The soldier figures are of the same size like for example the commander of the Tamiya King Tiger RC-Tank. Which means they are almost the same scale. Eather 1/16 or 1/18 scale? How ever they can be shown side by side with other models in 1/16 scale whitout sowing the difference to much.

The enclosed soldier figures are of high quality in design and painting and need not to be redone. Who dislikes the moveable armes and legs may glue them in position and paste the seams with putty.

Most customers will like the model like it comes from the box and who hasn't the skill or time to modify the model gets a great model for a great price!
